The Forster Beach Hut Experience
We've taken everything frustrating about a day at the beach and eliminated it. You bring yourself and a towel. We do everything else.
No booking needed. Just stroll over to our setup on Forster Main Beach and tell us what you'd like. Pick your spot and your package on the day.
Tell us where you want to be and we'll have your cabana, loungers and accessories ready in minutes while you settle in.
Swim. Read. Watch the dolphins. We monitor your setup throughout the day and adjust for wind and shade.
When you're done, just get up and go. We pack everything away. No sand in your car. No tired arms.
What We Offer
All combos include full setup and pack-up. Cash and EFTPOS accepted, including tap and go. Half day = any 4 hours between 9am and 4pm.

Journalist Jeanene Duncan described how Beach Hut is transforming the Forster beachfront economy: keeping visitors on the sand longer, driving local café trade, and bringing a slice of Bali to the NSW Mid North Coast.
The article also noted that Beach Hut's Facebook beach check videos had clocked more than 50,000 views, with popularity quadrupling across the season.

Our Story
Sam Newman and Natalie Williamson founded Beach Hut in 2023, inspired by the effortless beach culture of Bali and coastal Europe, where colourful bean bags and sun-shaded lounges are simply part of the beach experience.
The idea was simple: bring that "walk-on, walk-off" luxury to Australian families. No lugging. No setup. No sand in the car. Just arrive, relax, and leave.
What started at Forster Main Beach has grown into something the whole community has embraced, from the grandmother who could finally sit at the water's edge, to the family who stayed all day instead of leaving at noon.
Good To Know
Our 2026/27 season opens on Saturday 12 December 2026 and runs until the end of the NSW Easter school holidays in late April 2027. We're open 7 days, 9am to 4pm, through the summer school holidays.

No. Just walk up, pick your spot and your package, and we'll set it up for you on the day.
The Beach Day Bundle (umbrella and 2 sun chairs) is $10 an hour, $20 for a half day or $30 for a full day. The Cabana Bundle (Coolcabana and 2 sun chairs) is $15 an hour, $30 for a half day or $40 for a full day. The Group Getaway (umbrella, 2 sun chairs, 2 boogie boards and beach toys) is $20 an hour, $30 for a half day or $50 for a full day.
Any 4 hours between 9am and 4pm. A full day covers the whole day, 9am to 4pm.
We accept cash and EFTPOS, including tap and go with your card, phone or watch.
Yes. Every bundle includes full setup and pack-up. We keep an eye on your setup through the day and adjust it for wind and shade. When you're done, just get up and go.
Yes. Soft-top surfboards are $10 an hour and boogie boards are $5 an hour. Hire them on their own or add them to any bundle.
Yes. The Group Getaway includes 2 boogie boards and beach toys, and you get shade right on the sand without carrying a thing from the car.
